Marina is simple but well kept. Docks look brand new with great lighting and solid cleats. Construction for more amenities very obvious. No water or fuel right now, operator says they are coming shortly. Staff had gone home for the evening but was available by cell phone to help us get in. Approach is very narrow and rather shallow for deep draft vessels. The north entrance to the breakwall is usable, make a hard turn and stay between the green buoy and the breakwall. Shower areas were clean and well maintained, hot water very nice! If you use the last men's room stall, the plumbing there is reversed. Hot=cold.

A great place to lay low when the lake is acting up! The marina staff will drive you into town if you need a ride, but the nearby city bike path is also a very convenient way to get around. There are several tasty and reasonable eateries to choose from, a good laundromat, public library, grocery store, and even a single screen movie theater. If you enjoy history, treat yourself to an extraordinary museum at the home of Frank Murphy, former mayor of Detroit, 1st governor general of the Philippine Islands, Governor of Michigan, U.S. Attorney General, and U.S. Supreme Court Justice. Dockside depths at the 40 foot slips were 5 feet or more. Bathroom and shower facilities at the marina are well looked after.
