Superior Construction, on behalf of the bridge owner, Florida Department of Transportation will be replacing the SR 687 4th Street Bridges across Big Island Gap, Tampa, FL. (LAT/LONG 27.8955833, -82.63888889) . Demolition and reconstruction of both the northbound and southbound bridge structures is expected to commence FEB 2022 through DEC 2023. The contractor will have safety boats and associated construction equipment in and around the bridge. All in-water equipment will be properly lighted. There will be sporadic channel closures which will occur for short durations. All mariners are advised to transit the area will caution and at a slow speed.
