Now that our team has updated Waterway Guide Explorer it's time to take a look at some of the functions and see exactly what this tool can do. This week we're taking a deeper dive into the Marinas function.
There are over 3,700 marinas in our database. Accessing them is a breeze with the newly streamlined, updated Waterway Guide Explorer. Simply click the Marinas tab on the information bar at the top of the Explorer page to see local listings in the infopane on the left side of the screen, complete with starred ratings that have been verified by our team of experts.
We use the marina's latitude and longitude to present its specific locations in an easy-to-find format, complete with hundreds of data points for each.

By hovering the mouse over a listing a basic information box appears with the address, phone number and hailing channel as well as options to click for expanded ratings by fellow travelers, plus a complete listing and link to the marina's website.
There's even a feature which allows cruisers to compare and contrast the selected marina with the others in the same area linking to an easy reference interface of features and amenities.
Overall, our team has kept all the extraordinary features and one-stop-information attributes while making the navigation even faster and easier.
Explorer is where boaters find the most current information on Navigation Alerts, Anchorages, Marinas, Fuel Prices, Bridges and Locks. Explorer as currently designed does not require users to sign in or purchase a subscription.
Editor's Note: In case you missed it, we also have a Deeper Dive into the Navigation Alerts feature of Waterway Guide Explorer.
