VIDEO: Tangier Island Gets 360-Degree Virtual Mapping

Tangier Island, one of the Chesapeake’s unique cultures, isn’t the easiest place to visit. You need a plane, a boat, a friend with a boat, or a ferry ride to get there. But you’ll soon be able to experience it from home thanks to the Chesapeake Conservancy’s Bay virtual-mapping project. It works like Google Earth, but for waterways. And for the first time, the map project will capture an entire island.
