Second foal of 2020 welcomed in the Outer Banks

COROLLA, N.C. - The Corolla Wild Horse Fund has announced the second foal of 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic.

The organization said the baby horse was born about a week ago and has been named Alma, which mean soul in Spanish and translates to 'lifts the spirit' in English.

The Corolla Wild Horse Fund said Saturday that Alma is a female and the foal to mom Orlanda and dad Rambler.

The first foal born in 2020 is Arturo.

The photo captured of Alma and mom was by Gene Flood of Corolla and Julie Heil captured of photo of dad Rambler last summer.
