VIDEO: Md. Researchers Track Oysters by Making Them Glow

It sounds like science fiction, but it’s real science. Researchers at NOAA’s National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science Lab in Oxford, Maryland have come up with a way to track the growth, reproduction and life spans of oysters using glowing light.
It doesn’t hurt the oysters (or anyone/anything who may eat them) and it works better than traditional tagging methods. It could even have implications for catching oyster poachers someday.
