Port Colborne has provisioning options, hardware stores with marine supplies, pharmacies and a number of good restaurants, particularly on West St. facing the canal.
A popular Farmers’ Market is held every Friday morning at the Market Square, which is located directly in front of City Hall. The Port Colborne Historical and Marine Museum depicts the canal’s history every day (280 King St., 905-834-7604), while Canal Days is a four-day celebration of history and heritage along the canal held over Civic Day weekend (the first Monday in August). Events are held at several venues.
