Bob Sherer (Bob423) Joins Waterway Guide
by Graham Jones - January 26, 2018
Waterway Guide is pleased to welcome our newest on-the-water Cruising Editor, Bob Sherer, to the team! Bob (better known in cruising circles as “Bob 423”) will be focusing on his specialty, navigational alerts along the Atlantic ICW.
Bob and his wife, Ann, just completed their eighth trip down the ICW from Poughkeepsie, NY, to Key West and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. Bob is best known for his activity on numerous cruising forums (“Bob 423”) and the couple has a popular blog at fleetwing.blogspot.com. You can follow their travels on the well-organized blog and also pick up tips on docking and anchoring, see recommended cruising resources and access links to weather buoys, tide information and Army Corps of Engineers surveys.
Bob and Ann also produced the 2017 ICW Cruising Guide, billed as a guide for safely navigating over 120 hazards from New York to Key West along the Atlantic ICW. The guide includes full-color charts and tips for life onboard.
Bob and Ann spend 9 months aboard Fleetwing, a Beneteau 423, with four-legged crew member, Hoolie, a Brittany.
