To see the town from a different point of view, the popular Beaufort Ghost Walk covers approximately nine blocks and lasts around one hour. For a change of scenery, take the dinghy to Rachel Carson Reserve for hiking and a chance to see a variety of wildlife and bird species including wild horses. Or take island Express Ferry Service (252-728-7433) to Cape Lookout or Shackleford Banks.
