Draft: 4.0'Bridge operator was great as usual for us and other boaters as we heard them on our travels back north. Was great south few days ago as well.

Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 31'
Draft: 3.6'Bridge operator would not open bridge for me. I was solo on my boat heading south and the tide was running out. I had my canvas up and the operator made me lower my antenna. It took me a while before I got it coordinated, but definitely was not pleasant to do. Radar miss bridge by roughly 8 inches.

WG Editor Comment:
From the CFR's: § 117.11 Unnecessary opening of the draw. No vessel owner or operator shall - (a) Signal a drawbridge to open if the vertical clearance is sufficient to allow the vessel, after all lowerable nonstructural vessel appurtenances that are not essential to navigation have been lowered, to safely pass under the drawbridge in the closed position; or (b) Signal a drawbridge to open for any purpose other than to pass through the drawbridge opening.
