Port-Of-Call-Shuttle-Bus.jpgMonday was the "maiden voyage" of a new shuttle bus service in St. Augustine, catering to cruisers and boaters in this favorite destination and home port.

Three daily "rounds" – 9AM, 11AM and 12:15PM – start and end at St. Augustine Municipal Marina, with stops at most other marinas, Sailors Exchange, and West Marine in the first run, with easy access to dozens of other businesses and facilities. The two other daytime runs stop at several marinas, uptown St. Augustine, the Vilano Pier, and the Publix Supermarket, allowing easy access to many shops, restaurants, offices and attractions.

New routes will be added tomorrow (Dec. 12) from 6PM to 9:55PM for the dinner and entertainment crowd.

"It is geared toward cruising boaters...for $5 you can ride all day, so get all those errands done at once, and then into the evening for entertainment," cruising boater Jaye Lunsford wrote in an email.
